Ford Fairmont sedan 70/1970, completely restored. 

Originally a 6-cylinder car now fitted with a mild 302 Windsor rebuilt by Clinton at Horney Performance with a small hydraulic cam, roller tipped rockers, Weiand intake manifold and new 600Cfm Holley.

C4 Transmission has been rebuilt with a stage 2 shift kit and a 2500 rpm converter. Exhaust is 2 1/2 inch stainless from extractors back with balance tube and Redback Mufflers.

The original Borg Warner diff has been rebuilt with all new parts by Geelong Diffs with a 4 pinion LSD centre with 3.23 ratio gears and 31 spline axles fitted to the original powder coated diff housing.

Suspension and brakes were all rebuilt including steering box, brake booster, master cylinder and all new brake lines thru out. New lowered front King springs and reset rear leafs with lowering blocks. Brand new reproduction fuel tank and sender including new 1/2inch fuel line.  

Body was very clean to begin with and had minimal rust, was bead blasted (including underneath) to bare metal before being panel beated, coated in polyester before hi fill and painted the original colour (Lime Frost) in 2pack. Underneath the vehicle is also painted in gloss black 2pack.

All chrome work and metal trimming were restored and re chromed. All nuts, bolts, washers and hardware zinc coated and Fuel and brake lines replaced with new.

Interior was completely retrimmed with closest to original material available at the time including new roof lining and carpet and DynaMat Xtreame under the carpet underlay and a brand-new aftermarket boot matt. Dash pad was reconditioned, dash facia was converted to GS, and has original 6000 RPM rev counter, radio is a CD player with original Super Fringe look face, original clock and has a new reproduction steering wheel.

Car is on non-transferable club permit/regristration but will come with personalised number plates in period original registration number KRW - - - purchased from VIC roads.

Restoration was completed approximately 10 years ago and has travelled less than 5000 kms since and still presents extremely well. Car is priced much less than restoration cost, no corners were cut during the restoration and where possible all new reproduction parts and some N.O.S parts were used.
